Adrienne Austin was born in the Bronx, New York, which may in part account for her love of Jewish-Italian cooking and slightly skewed sense of humor. She and artist musician husband Glenn met while in California. They currently reside in North Carolina with three dogs, one cat, an organic garden and a bunch of cool rocks. When she isn’t writing, composing music, singing, gardening, taking photographs, baking bread, rock hunting, mushroom foraging or picking up after the dogs, Adrienne (usually with Glenn,) may be found reading books, reading cards for others or asleep. Yes, it is true: she snores. Loudly.

About Glenn Austin
Glenn and Adrienne designed the original cover for the "The Edge of Remembering" which was more artistic than the one he ended up designing in a hurry when the publisher's graphics department made a biiiiig mistake. Rather than hold up the publishing date, Glenn knocked out a new idea over a weekend and it was approved immediately. Glenn is shown (above) holding the Smallest Austin, Kibble.

Will the real Leo please sit up?
There was a real "Leo" in Adrienne's life. Hmm, well, actually there were three Leos in her life. One Leo was a great-uncle who was a fantastic baker - rye bread especially! - in Tarrytown, NY, and one was a very funny, hip manager at an art store in Pasadena, CA. (His hair was borrowed for the Leo character). But the Main Leo who was woven into the story was furry all over and had seven toes on each foot. :) Leo was a tiny, very sick Maine Coon kitten when rescued from a snow-encrusted sidewalk. That day was May First, Adrienne's friend Mindy's birthday, and the same day the first lines of what has become the "Nomaris Project" were committed to paper. Leo (at twenty pounds,) oversaw the writing of the umpteenth outline for the first story. (You can see who was used for inspiration for Brian as well)!
