Where are you, Steven Spielberg? Sooki01, Sturbridge, MA 01/09/07

I have seen fantasy books come and go but this is a Keeper. It takes you to places one can only hope to visit in dream. This story calls for at least two readings: the first to meet and fall in love with the planet and the characters, and the second for the sheer indulgence of visiting with “old friends”. Okay, make that three readings. Or more. I love this story!

Where are you, Steven Spielberg? Please look into Nomaris for your next film project. This writer’s unexpected twists and turns are absolutely brilliant and extraordinary. Adrienne Austin is "A Beautiful Mind". She is an artist that shall never fade away.

I can’t imagine where Ms. Austin will take us off to next; I just hope she does! I await with great anticipation for the release of a second book about a place I wish I could call Home.

Forever let there be Dragons!

Read slowly, savor the journey... Readthebook101, Sturbridge, MA 01/05/07

A friend of mine who knows how much I enjoy Terry Pratchett, recommended this book to me. There are similarities in that both Authors are quite adept at weaving intricate and chuckle out loud tales, but Nomaris speaks to the reader on myriad relatable levels. A topical and brilliantly woven interplanetary romp! Read slowly, savor the journey and let us hope the final words, 'Jamais le fin' (never the end) refer to a Nomaris series in the works.

A magical, mystical tour...
 Meghan, NC  (10/30/2006)

A magical, mystical tour that is told in such a completely unique way that you won't realize that what you have just read has a tremendous story to tell. It hits you like the proverbial ton of bricks. This writer is SUPERB, no doubt it! I can just imagine this as a movie, because the characters and images just pop out on the pages as you read. This book isn't really indicative of my usual fare, but was highly recommended by a friend and I thought "What the heck"? Believe me, I will read this one again and I will be looking forward to another book from this fine, talented author. Meghan Graham

I already miss the characters now that I've finished the book!!, October 28, 2006

The characters are so real; I miss them now that I've finished the book.
This author's description of characters (human and non-human), critters, environment, time and space sent my imagination into a whirlwind delight of vivid images.
Halfway through, I felt I was learning a foreign language, but was soon very comfortable with it all.
This is a beautiful story of love, loyalty, preservation of our precious land, and mystical dragons. Each time I thought it was becoming predictable, the unpredictable occurred. Rather than turning the pages quickly, I savored every moment, sometimes even re-reading paragraphs. The author's use of humor and innuendo kept me on my toes, trying to compare things to what I understand in our lives.
The story was tied up so neatly and emotionally, that I felt I had just woken up from a long, peaceful, dream-filled sleep.
I can envision it more as high quality animated film, rather than a conventional movie. I don't think that costumes, make-up and set design can do justice to the images in the book.
Bravo to Adrienne Austin on creating this magnificent story. I will be waiting impatiently for her next publication.

Unique Verbal Images spoken by goddess Carol Burnet?, October 17, 2006

Reviewer:

Ann Marie "Annie" (Gothic Midwest, USA)

When first opening the book you are transferred to another time and place. Ms. Austin's images pop out in a shimmering textural canvas of words. The fact that she dares to mix the rather regal voice of a Goddess in a sort of Carol Burnet humor, make the themes of dragons and compost logical. The forgotten land of Nomaris has as few typecast boundaries as the writer herself; a very good read.

Excellent effort by a first-time published author! Nomaris is a spellbinding page turner that you won't want to put down! Congrats, Ms. Austin! Hope you keep the story going and also hope to see it on film!
