Dragon Fever Strikes!

Earl English couldn't resist investing in this statue from Franklin Mint called Dragonfire. As you can see, he cleverly added a crown to the egg! (He really enjoyed the first Nomaris story.) One of Earl's favorite hobbies is collecting, studying and often, faceting stones and making jewelry. Check out Earl's site  and be sure to take a side-trip from there to the Broad River Gem Mine, Museum & Gift Shop!

Denise M. Cachoian, my "bosom buddy" since Kindergarten in P.S.#5, blew my mind by commissioning a special piece of jewelry from Nikos Nafpliotis in New York! What a fabulous surprise gift! Thank you, Denise and her artisan of choice, jewelry artist Nikos. (Note: the line going across is not the back of the pin, but a natural coloration in the stone. The stone is fuilly backed in what I think is polished brass.)
