After “The Secret” is Revealed

I always suggest that we fill our heads and spirits with the most useful tools for joy we can identify, and the movie, “The Secret” has become one of my favorite modern tools (especially coupled with a copy of “What The Bleep Do We Know?”).  Now that Oprah has chosen to share “The Secret” on her show, more people than ever are going to feel empowered.

For a while, anyway!

Many people will use these ancient understandings with a new awareness and most will meet with some success at first. This will help them get more excited and more enthused. Soon, though, in a typically human way, we simply forget to keep directing our thoughts, feelings and even actions toward what we desire. We habitually return to resonating along with whatever happens to be in front of us at the time.

Sometimes we unintentionally focus on our lacks when we’re aiming for our desires and attain the exact opposite of what we thought we were asking for. The “winning streak” or synchronicities seem to end, disappointment sets in and a new cycle of power loss begins.

Within thirty days of hearing about the Law of Attraction, most people will give up trying or forget all about it and continue to be incidental creators rather than intentional co-creators of their experience.

It takes practice to flip anxious thoughts into more hopeful ones and the fearful into the joyful. It’s worth the effort. When you feel like you just can’t shake free of your low energy or bad feelings, Happy Distraction is the best ploy.

Play with a happy child or pet, watch or listen to something that makes you laugh or your heart swell with joy. Even a tiny improvement in mood is enough to stop a downward spiral and direct it upward again.

Work upward from there.

Don’t give up.

Remember: The Law of Attraction is Always in Action!

Wishing You Joy,
